DISTRACTIONS!!!..
We, humans, have many tasks to complete in our day. Think whether we are giving our 100% attention to do???
Some yes…. some no….. some don’t know….
These confusions are because of distractions. So, what is distraction???
When our attention suddenly changes from our task to some other thing consciously or unconsciously is said to be a distraction.
Distractions are of 2 types based on the environment around us.
- Internal distractions
- External distractions
Internal Distraction:
When a distraction is caused by our mind is called internal distraction. Let us see some internal distractions.
a. not feeling well with our health
b. the task is very hard
c. not interested to do
d. feeling hungry/sleepy
e. wanna spend some time with dear ones
f. habituated to play games or listening songs.
External Distractions:
Distractions occurred by any external person or source is called external distraction. Now, let us list out some of the common distractions.

We have many and many more distractions but we also have the power to overcome them by practicing.
Practices to overcome distractions:
i . Don’t work for long hours.
ii. Take small breaks for every completion of the sub-task.
iii. Block all your notifications on your mobile or keep your mobile away from you
iv. Schedule your tasks and adjust the time to complete them
v. Give rewards like watching movies, playing games after completion of your task
vi. Don’t work in people’s space.
vii. If it urges you to do some other task, finish it and come back.
viii. no multi-tasking if you can’t handle them once.
ix. Meditate daily for 5 minutes to increase concentration.
x. Think about what you want to do and imagine that you got succeeded.
These are some tips to overcome the distractions from my point of view. One thing to remember is when we give our 100% commitment to your task, you can’t distract. If you have more tips, please share them in the comments. I try to focus more by practicing them.
