What is Data?..

Data is just a piece of information. It can be of any format. Let us understand it more clearly. DATA is the plural form, the singular form is called DATUM. The world is revolving around creating and analyzing data. Daily we create lots and lots of data like texting, sharing photos, watching videos, all the social media content, etc.

Based on the arrangement of the data, it is further classified into 2 categories.

1. Structured Data
2. Unstructured Data

STRUCTURED DATA:

When the data is arranged in a particular format or assigned in a table is called structured data.

Unstructured Data:

The data, which is not restricted to any format or type is said to be unstructured data. It can be of any form like plain text, image, video, bytes, audio files, and so on…
